A sad farewell...

A sad farewell...

Dear Valued Customers, Partners and Supporters,

With heavy hearts and a profound sense of sadness, we regret to announce the closure of Karma Baker and its beloved bakery. For over a decade, Karma Baker has been a cherished part of the Oak Park community and a source of joy for families across the nation. We've had the honor of providing cakes, desserts, bread, and gifts for countless celebrations, from birthdays and showers to weddings and holidays. Our mission has always been to create vegan and gluten-free baked goods that bring people together, ensuring that everyone can indulge and feel included.

This decision has not been easy for us. Despite our best efforts to avoid closure, circumstances beyond our control have led us to this point. As of March 30th, we will be turning off our ovens and ceasing operations, including nationwide shipping, wholesale partnerships, and our Oak Park storefront.

We invite you to visit us one last time, to savor our spring and Easter offerings, including our beloved "Bunny Butt" donuts. Don’t forget to stock up your freezers with your favorite Karma cookies, brownies, and treats. Your support during this transition period means the world to us as we bid farewell to a chapter that has meant so much.

To all of you who have supported us over the years—whether as customers, advocates, or investors—we extend our deepest gratitude. Your belief in us has sustained us through many challenges, and for that, we are truly grateful. We apologize for any disappointment or inconvenience this closure may cause.

The decision to close was not made lightly. Despite weathering fires, storms, and a global pandemic, the current economic climate and rising inflation costs have made it untenable for us to continue. Arek and I have poured our hearts and savings into Karma Baker, hoping to keep our dream alive. We are immensely proud of what we've built—a business rooted in love, kindness, and mindfulness.

We are eternally grateful to our incredible team of employees, who have been the backbone of Karma Baker. Their tireless dedication and unwavering support have been nothing short of extraordinary. As we prepare to say goodbye, our hearts are filled with love and appreciation for each and every one of them.

To all of you, our dear customers, supporters, and friends, we bid you farewell with a heavy heart. May the spirit of Karma Baker live on in your memories, and may you always be blessed with Good Karma in all that you do.

With love and gratitude,

 Celine and Arek
